3. MAIN OBLIGATIONS OF IRIMO :

- Provision and collection of atmospheric data , transmission , storage and establishment of database processing

services.

  - Use of data , processing  and  transformation  into information  on  real-time basis  to be used by  the  public ,

  transportation   (air, marine and land) , water management  , agriculture , development projects , natural disaster

reduction, assisting power generation , tourism and so on.

  - Study and research on various aspects of hydrometeorology, climatology and its applications to be employed 

  by policy makers on air pollution and atmospheric chemistry, agriculture and husbandry , dam construction and

  water related activities , weather modification  , aviation , climate and climate change ,   marine meteorology and

  physical oceanography, synoptic-dynamic meteorology and atmospheric investigation .

Holding of different short , medium and long-term training courses to promote scientific qualifications of personnel 

and employ new generation of manpower.
